Hazardous Waste Day Saturday
THE GREAT RECESSION
Posted for Saturday April 25th..........................
They are now calling this period in history The Great Recession.
Makes sense I guess. Nobody is really spending money or buying things. Margie has been busy doing a play down in Shelburne, so we haven't been out. I'm trying to remember the last time I was on Church Street, maybe back before Christmas. Haven't been to Williston in a while.
I wonder if people are out and about and just window shop, or if the stores are really empty.
I need to ask the two busiest places in town to see if they have noticed any downturn. Those would be the Pharmacy, and J&L Hardware.
The school budget passed, so we're good to go for another year.
No more Pontiac Grand Ams. GM is ending the Pontiac brand. Is Oldsmobile still around? I don't think so. Sounds like GM will be mostly Chevrolet now.
