Ramirez Suspended For Positive Test
The Los Angeles Times reports that Manny Ramirez will be suspended 50 games after he allegedly tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs.

Naturally, Manny is denying that he took performance enhancing drugs. He says that what he took were prescribed to him by a physician. Interestingly, he is not challenging the suspension. Was it coincidence that his home run statistics improved significantly last year after he was traded to the Dodgers?

Seems to me that if I am a professional athlete, and I go to the doctor, and they prescribe a medication, I should take it to the team heirchy, and say, "This is what I was prescribed. Is it legal to take this?".
