Title: Fairfax falls get stocked
Post by: edakrupp on May 13, 2009, 12:08:31 PM
Running on errands today and saw the fish and wildlife people down below the falls. I checked it out and they dumped 400 12-16" rainbow trout in today at around 10:30 am. They looked mighty fine to me. Poor little farm raised fish. I wonder how long it takes for them to get to be as crafty as the native trouts.

Nice, I haven't fished down there in a while... Maybe I'll go check it out one morning this weekend! Thanks for the heads up! Brett

I drove by this evening and noticed someone fishing there already.  It occurred to me that I don't think I've ever seen anyone fishing there before (although I don't go that way very often).

According to the Vermont Fish & Wild Life Website  they have now stocked the Lamoille River in Fairfax with nearly 1,000 large Brown Trout.  Today was their 3rd time since the beginning of April:
