As a young man here in town, one of my closest friends was Maurice "Mutt" Boissoneault, a truly wonderful young man who never did anything wrong. "Mutt" never drank or even smoked. "Mutt" started his truck driving career as a young man working for Joe Peloquin when Joe had his sawmill in Mill Hill where the condos are now on the Fletcher Road. It was surprising to me when I heard a short while ago that "Mutt" had cancer and a stroke. This morning, another one of my closest friends, "Mutt's" brother in law, Steve Ratte, called to give me the sad news.
I don't have any of the details of the funeral arrangements as of now, but believe Des-Groseillie Funeral Home up in Johnson will be handling the arrangements and the funeral will be up there also.
My sympathy goes out to Maurice's wife & family, his sister, Pauline Ratte, his brothers George, Rene and Gilles Boissoneault and their families. Maurice was a modest and humble man and an excellent role model for his siblings and family as well as the rest of us.
