MAURICE "MO" PHILLIP BOISSONEAULT
JOHNSON - Maurice "Mo" Phillip Boissoneault, 73, passed away peacefully on Friday evening, May 15, 2009, at his home in Johnson surrounded by his loving family after a short, but courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer. He was born on Aug. 23, 1935, at the family home in Addison, Vt., the first child of Lucien and Simone (Brassard) Boissoneault. Maurice spent his childhood in the Addison, Charlotte area before moving with his family to Fairfax in 1950. Maurice married Marie Jeanette West of Johnson on June 1, 1968, at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Johnson. They made their home in Johnson where they lovingly raised their son Aaron Joseph and daughter Magan Simone (always "Sissy" to her Dad). He was a very dedicated worker, who worked extremely hard and took pride in everything he did. Working on the family farm until going to work for BouyeaFassetts Bakery. In 1955, Maurice began his first truck driving job for Joe Peloquin Fairfax Sales Inc. Then in 1961, he starting driving for Kneeland Lumber Company Inc. which was co-owned by Henry Manchester who in the mid-60s purchased the company which became Manchester Lumber Inc. In 1968, Maurice went to work for Wright & Morrisey Construction, still continuing to drive for Manchester Lumber Inc. and hauling milk for Joe Trombley on weekends. In 1972, he began working for Manchester Lumber Inc. full time until he could no longer work due to his illness. Maurice was so devoted to his family and friends and loved so wholeheartedly. He touched the hearts of everyone that knew him. He loved the time spent with his grandchildren and was so proud to be their special Pepe'. He truly enjoyed his hobby of collecting, restoring and showing antique tractors, sharing his passion with his family and friends. Maurice is survived by his loving and caring wife of 40 years, Marie; his son Aaron Boissoneault and wife Tammy of Johnson; daughter Magan (Boissoneault) Palmer and husband Brian of Morrisville; four beautiful grandchildren, Paige and Cole Palmer and Kaiden and Cassi Boissoneault; sister Pauline Ratte and husband Stephen of Fairfax; brother George Boissoneault of St. Albans; brother Rene Boissoneault and wife Priscilla of Swanton; brother Giles Boissonneault and wife Carol of St. Albans; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and one great-great-nephew. He is also survived by his brother-in-law B. Scott West, wife Joan, nieces and nephew and many close friends. He was predeceased by his brother Bernard; mother Simone; father Lucien; nieces Maria and Amy; sister-in-law Mary; nephew Michael; and also predeceased by his motherin-law Elizabeth and fatherin-law Lyndhurst West. Visiting hours will be held at des Groseilliers Funeral Home in Johnson on Wednesday, May 20, from 4 to 7 p.m. and a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. John the Apostle Catholic Church on Thursday, May 21, at 2 p.m. Contributions in Maurice's memory may be made to Lamoille Home Health & Hospice, 54 Farr Ave., Morrisville, VT 05661 or to Lamoille Area Cancer Network, P.O.
