Jeff Fay, Ellie, Anthony, Lonnie, and Carl in Victory Lane at Bear Ridge Speedway
WRECKERS TO CHECKERS
24 hours after a horrid end over end flip at Autodrome Edelweiss Friday night, Anthony passed Si Allen in turn two to take the lead and win the SCONE race at Bear Ridge Speedway Saturday night.
Anthony was running 4th in the race when 3rd place car Shawn Lawler spun with 3 laps to go. On the bunched up restart, Anthony got under Clay Dow for 2nd, then made a move on Allen. Anthony was able to get under him coming down for the white flag, then finished the job in turns one and two. Allen finished 2nd and Dow 3rd. What a race.
Through go-karts, mini-sprints, and sprints, this was Anthony's first win EVER in the state of Vermont.
I never got on the computer all day. I will be looking for pictures of the wreck Friday night, and if I find some, will post them here. More pictures from Bear Ridge this week.
