Title: Yes Henry, There Is Such A Thing As A Pea Sheller
Post by: Henry on June 17, 2009, 05:04:48 PM
Hi Henry,

Here are a few updates for you:

My peas are just starting to blossom. I expect to have some ready around July 4. The potatoes are starting to blossom also.
So peas and potatoes for the 4th.

There is such a thing as a pea sheller. It is an attachment to be used on a hand mixer. I had one several years back, when my family was larger, and I planted lots of peas. It is quicker, but a bit messier with the peas.  My sons used to like to be the one to use it
while everyone else did them manually.

My Bing Search on the Internet revealed the following pea shellers:

Henry,
my mom had a hand operated pea sheller but she always said it was quicker and easier to shell them by hand
