Title: It Isn't How They Look, Its What They Say
Post by: Henry on June 22, 2009, 07:06:33 AM
Yesterday was Father's Day and I always receive cards from the kids, my wife and my sister.  As I read each card I was able to visualize the person giving it to me saying it.  What a wonderful feeling it gave me, although I know I am not the great Dad that the cards tell me I am, I think, "Well, if that is what they think, it sure does make me feel good.  Who am I to argue?"

Its interesting how there is a difference in what is done to celebrate Father's Day and Mother's Day.  On Mother's Day, in most restaurants, there is no way you can get in without a reservation or a long wait - Father's Day - Not So - Father's Day is more of a BBQ Day and I think that holds true for most fathers.

My Father's Day was great as usual and one that makes me realize how fortunate I am to have the family and friends that I do.
