Title: Steeple Market Sub Floor On - Partial Wall Framing Up On Gas Pump Side
Post by: Henry on July 02, 2009, 04:35:59 PM
Won't be long and it will be looking like a new Steeple Market - I noticed they had some framing up on the Gas Pump side of the building.  If Mike doesn't post one tonight, I will take one tomorrow.

I saw the plans some time ago on this site Henry, I am still wondering why the new design had hardly any windows like the original building. Why not make it look a little less dungeon now that you can do what you want to a certain degree?

anyway....hope they hurry, need to BBQ some of their T-bone steaks

I am guessing it is the skyline effect coupled with storage space.  Some of the stained glass windows from the original St. Luke's were reinstalled up at the new St. Luke's when Berardinelli's renovated the church.  I believe most if not all of the original windows had been removed in the Old Steeple Market.

By the way, wwiihistory, don't want to make it look too much like a church, as for years after Berardinelli's converted it, I still made the sign of the cross when I went by it, catching myself doing it and quickly looking to see if anybody saw me.
