I was watching the video last night on Channel 3 about recycling the refrigerators and apparently one of our long time car salesmen from St. Albans now works for Efficiency Vermont.

I first met Ellsworth Moore when he worked for Volkswagon as a salesman up where Total Home Center is now at exit 20.  There was no way you could get a deal on a Volkswagon, as those salesmen just didn't deal, particularly Ellsworth.  My sister bought a number of Volkswagon Bugs through the years and she used to give me some great deals on her old ones which were still in great shape.  Even with the great deals she gave me, I gave her more than Ellsworth would have.  I did buy a 1975 Volkswagon Rabbit as well as a 1978 Volkswagon Rabbit from him back in the Gas Crunch days.  Bought them both outright for exactly what the sticker price was on the window.  I believe I tried getting a better price, but Ellsworth's take was, "If you want the car, thats the price."  Ellsworth later opened his own business on South Main Street where he was a dealer for Lincoln/Mercury.

Hadn't seen him in years as my main car dealings have been with Clint Paquin who always gave me a fair price.
