Title: Sometimes the youngster needs a swat in the pants
Post by: rdmapes on July 27, 2009, 08:32:25 PM
All,
The other day I was doing some reading when I noticed a doe and her fawn eating some dropped apples. Check out the video. The fawn is getting in the way so mom swats the youngster to get out of the way.

Life is Great with this kind of stuff!

Enjoy,

It is truly interesting to watch animals with their young.  JR Young has beef cattle across the road from me and in the spring of the year, within a two or three week period they all have their little calves.  The mothers know which ones are theirs and I watched one mother after her little one was born go through the process of giving it its first meal.
