Lee Ladouceur helps on the car after hot laps. Lee would go on to win the ESS A-Main at Drummondville Saturday night.
GOOD WEEKEND
A poor start led to a good finish Saturday night in Drummondville. Anthony had problems when hot laps finished. He thought the ignition quit on him, so they changed that. Tried to fire the car. That wasn't it. Come to find out, the connection between the camshaft and the fuel pump had stripped. Fixed that, and the car ran fine.
Trouble was, he never ran the heat race. With 20 sprints in the pits, everyone quallified, so Anthony started the A-Main in 20th.
Nowhere to go but up and he did. A combination of attrition and him passing cars, Anthony finished 11th. He earned the Hard Charger Award for gaining the most positions in the race with 9.
#51 Lee Ladouceur helped out when they were changing the ignition. He ended up starting on the pole for the A-Main, and won the race, leading all 25 laps.
Not a bad weekend. A 9th and an 11th. Should help in the point standings.
