Title: So You Prefer One Brand Of Milk Over The Other - Why?
Post by: Henry on August 10, 2009, 11:38:55 AM
At the Food City supermarket there are two brands of conventional, non-organic milk for sale. At Hannaford there are three and at Price Chopper five, creating plenty of choice for consumers, or so it appears.

In actuality all the local milk comes from just two milk plants, both owned by large agri-businesses.

Check out the difference in Store Brand, Booth Bros, Hood and Garelick - Surprise!!  Surprise!!

Even though the milk may be bottled at the same plant, the brands are unmistakeably different. In my opinion, Hood has a lighter or more watered down taste where boothbrothers is thicker. I don't know why.

Ever since we started drinking raw milk about 6 years ago, we've lost our taste for store-bought milk.  Now we buy it directly out of the bulk tank, and we've never been sick from it.

We buy Booth Bros as there is no RBST used int he production.  I am against anything artificial used in production of anything I eat or drink
