Title: Anybody Ever Dry Blue Hydrangeas??
Post by: Henry on August 13, 2009, 07:41:25 AM
JoAnne stopped by on her way to work this morning and dropped off some vegetables.  She asked me if I had ever tried drying Blue Hydrangea Blossoms.  She said she never had and wondered if they remained blue when you did that.  She said she had seen white ones done.  I am inclined to think they might turn white.

They stay blue when you dry them. They are very fragile but there is something available to make them stay stiffer. We used to use hair spray years ago but  there is something on the market for drying flowers. They are beautiful.

I will check with Donna Meunier at Upsy's - http://www.upsydaisyshop.com/ (http://www.upsydaisyshop.com/) I am sure she has done that.  She makes beautiful dried flower arrangements.
