Harold Crafts will be celebrating his 88th Birthday on August 26th.  For those of you who may want to send him Birthday Greetings, I am sure if you send it to:

Mr. Harold Crafts
Main Street
Fairfax, Vt.  05454

he will receive it.

It is interesting to note that I don't believe I have ever met Harold.  I do know where he lives and knew his sister Emma Crafts Goodwin who was married to Reverend Goodwin.  Both Harold & Emma were born here in Fairfax and grew up on the Craft Farm in North Fairfax.  It is nice that we have a Road (Craftsfield) named after the family.

Thanks to a forum member who read my post, I received the following information:

Harold's address is 2188 Main Street. He is in a nursing home and he is almost totally blind, but relatives will bring the cards and read them to him. I'm sure he would love to hear from people.

Here is an opportunity for you to do something nice for someone.  It doesn't have to be a card, just a note with a personal message.  I am sure, since Harold has lived in Fairfax all of his life, if you are new in town and tell him where you live, he will recognize the location right away.  Lets try and make his 88th birthday one he will remember.

One of the nicest guys you would ever meet and a pleasure to work for, used to go up there for my dad after school sometimes for service calls, Happy Birthday Harold!

Born, raised, and lives in the same place for 88 years.

Truly amazing.

We should ALL be so "lucky" and or blessed, to do the same.
