Title: 40th Anniversary Of The Invention Of ATM
Post by: Henry on September 02, 2009, 09:57:23 AM
Not sure just when the ATM came to Fairfax, but with the first ones, I used to be able to transact my IBM Credit Union Business there as well as The Franklin Lamoile (Now TD BankNorth).

Apparently Franklin Lamoille felt that they needed a branch bank here, so the put one up in Fairfax Commons, but found that it didn't get enough use and installed a direct line to The Milton Branch in the new ATM as it was long distance to call to Milton back then.

We have come a long way:

I think the first FLB EASY CARD ATM came to Fairfax at Berardinelli's store sometime around 1983!
