Title: No Familiar Faces While People Watching At Nan's Last Night
Post by: Henry on September 04, 2009, 08:19:19 AM
Maryann and I stopped at Nan's for a Cree Mee around 5 p.m. yesterday.  I backed the car up so we could watch the traffic and people while we ate our Cree Mees.  Asked Maryann if she had seen anybody she knew and they were all strangers to her.  Now Maryann doesn't get out that much, but I am around Town quite a bit and interestingly enough I did not recognize anybody who stopped in either.  Either they are all passing through Town, or we have a lot of strangers in Town.

Indeed, there are many new families in town.  We have to be sure that we welcome all our new families feel into  the community so they  are not 'strangers.'  Certainly, Henry, your site does a lot to let people know the ins and outs of Fairfax.

I really enjoy having a lot of our new people, as well as old, come up to me and say "Are you Henry?"  They recognize me from my photo in my posts.  Although I have trouble remembering the names, it is nice to speak with them.  I also receive a number of e-mails of requests to find out different things about the town and things I don't know, our wealth of knowledge here on the forum usually comes up with the answer.
