TD Bank customers have had a tough time with online banking this week because of a glitch in the bank's computer system.
Bank officials say customers balances were not updating properly, forcing the bank to take the system off line. All other services, including ATM machines remained functional.
Bank officials say the problem may stem from the integration over the weekend of TD Bank's systems with those of newly acquired Commerce Bank.

Thanks Henry! I checked my balance today and it was way off, I was worried, some funds didn't come in. Now at least I know the error wasn't on the other end.

I called TD Bank yesterday because I noticed my direct deposit did not go in. They made my funds available to me immediately and also gave me 25.00 extra in my account for the inconvenience, even though I did not call to complain I just wanted to make sure my money was in my account.

Hopefully our deposits are in as it is all automatic on the first of the month - Hopefully there won't be any bouncing checks - Will check my ATM balance the next time I go to the village.

I just went down to the village and printed out a mini statement and all my electronic deposits are in - Apparently, at least in my account, it is updated.

I usually make a deposit every day at the Enosburg branch and they all were accounted for, but some of the check I had written to pay bills on monday that I would have normally seen accepted by thursday did not come up until today. The ladies told me on wednesday that they were experiencing difficulties and to let them know right away if I had issues. I personally think they are an excellent lender and in on way shape of form they have taken though the years our business has had them since the Lamoille bank days. Furthermore TD (torono dominican) is one of only 5 Class A rated banks in Canada and with them as the pricipal, its a safe place for your money. In VT, we are most fortunate to have so many good lenders and the competition keeps all banks on their toes here. The FDIC closed 3 more banks nationwide this week, these are very scary times.
