INCIDENT: Bank Robbery
STATION: Royalton Barracks
DATE OF INCIDENT: October 15, 2009 at approximately 0936 hours
LOCATION: Randolph National Bank, 85 North Main Street in Rochester, VT
ACCUSED: Unknown at this time
SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
At approximately 0936 hours the Vermont State Police received a report of a bank robbery that had just occurred at the Randolph National Bank located at 85 North Main Street in Rochester, VT. Information provided was a lone male entered the bank and demanded cash. A weapon was not displayed. The bank teller complied and gave the male some cash. The male left the bank on foot and headed north on Rt. 100 and moments later was observed in the passenger’s seat of a black vehicle driven by another white male that was headed south on Rt. 100.
There were no reported injuries as a result of this incident and there were no customers in the bank at the time of the robbery.
The male who entered the bank was described as having the following:
· White male
· Late 30’s to mid 40’s in age
· Height approximately 5’6 – 5’8
· Stocky to chubby build
· Shoulder length blondish hair
· No facial hair
· Sunglasses
· Black winter cap with a visor
· Baggy blue jeans with the bottoms cuffed up
· Black jacket
· Sneakers
The driver is described as having the following:
White male
Height approximately 5’5
Weight approximately 140 lbs.
Black bushy hair
Black beard
Dark sweatshirt
The State Police are analyzing surveillance footage.
The following vehicle is still being sought for as a possible connection in the robbery:
Black Honda Civic
Massachusetts registration 7305ED
Occupied by two males
This vehicle was reported stolen to the Springfield, MA Police Department on Sunday October 11th, 2009.
Anyone who may have witnessed the event, the above mentioned vehicle or any suspicious activity in the area of the bank and have not spoken with the Vermont State Police is asked to call the Vermont State Police immediately at 802-234-9933.
