Next weekend at this time, we will be back to Standard Time and many of the kids will be having a delicious breakfast that consists of Halloween Goodies from trick or treating the night before.
When I was at Senior Citizens last Tuesday, some of the people were talking about their experiences with trick or treaters. One woman said she got about 200 and lives in the village. Another said she got just a few and they were kids that knew her. It reminded me of years ago when we used to bring our kids to their grandparents and a few other special places in town. My youngest one still talks about going up to Mrs. Ellsworth's (Ruth & Ralph) and getting nice homemade doughnuts.
Of course their grandparents when they were alive always went all out for them also, but I never remember them just randomly going out and going to people's houses they didn't know very well.
Hopefully we will have good weather and there will be no accidents or anyone getting hurt. Our Fire Department is usually out, or has been in past years trying to keep the traffic slowed down as they go through town. A special thanks to them for doing that.
