JENNIE M. (PARRIS) HARDY


Burlington - Jennie May (Parris) Hardy, 92 passed away on Friday November 6, 2009 at Burlington Health & Rehabilitation Center in Burlington, VT.  She was born on June 21, 1917 in Fairfax, VT daughter of the late Glen and Delphine (Gregory) Parris.  Jennie’s greatest pleasure was working in retail and her faithful following of customers were her special family.  She was a very stylish classy lady who was well respected in her field.  She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her step-son Rodwick Hardy of Homosassa, FL;  Her sister Charlotte McNall of Fairfax;  A niece June Packard of Essex;  Two nephews Richard McNall of Fairfax and Bruce McNall of Savannah, GA.

She was also predeceased by her loving companion Marvin Hardy;  Her brother John Gregory Parris and her sister Elizabeth Jackson.

There will be no visiting hours held.  A graveside memorial service with inurnment will be held at Sanderson Corners Cemetery, Fairfax, VT on Monday November 9, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. with the Reverend Elizabeth Griffin officiating.  Memorial contributions in Jennie’s memory may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association, Home Care or Hospice Program, 1110 Prim Road Suite # 1, Colchester, VT 05446.  Arrangements are by John D. Workman, A. W.
