A three-hour search Sunday night for a missing 74-year-old man ended with the man's being located, safe and uninjured.
At about 6:15 p.m., Vermont State Police were notified that Marvin Manning, 74, had last been seen at his residence around 1:30 and was believed to be on his ATV in the woods nearby. Family had been searching for him since sunset and had been unable to locate him.
Vermont State Police, a Border Patrol helicopter, Department of Fish and Wildlife Game Wardens, and Essex Police Department aided in the search. At 9:30, Manning was located on foot and was uninjured.
