Hi Henry,
I am new at posting. I have joined but chickened out before posting!
My daughter Martha will be appearing on " VPT Cooks Chocolate" on Sat Dec 5 at 2pm on ch 33.
She is the pastry chef at Stowe Mountain Resort and will be preparing a decadent chocolate dessert.
More info? She graduated BFA 2000 and Culinary Institute of America 2007.

Chef Sean Buchanan of the Stowe Mountain Lodge hosts Vermont chefs and chocolatiers who demonstrate their favorite recipes.
The guests scheduled so far and the dishes they plan to make are:
• Martha Machia of Stowe Mountain Lodge, Stowe, Vt. - - Chocolate Honey Panna Cotta
• Kirk Weed of Lake Champlain Chocolates, Burlington, Vt. -- Flourless Pumpkin Ganache Cake
• Linda Grishman of Sweet on Vermont, Burlington, Vt., (dish to be announced)
• A representative of NECI (dish to be announced)
• Allison Hooper of Vermont Butter & Cheese Company, Websterville, Vt., will demonstrate local cheese and chocolate pairings
Viewers will be invited to call during the program to make contributions to VPT during its winter membership campaign. Chocolate recipes demonstrated in the show and submitted by local cooks, and a gift box with local chocolates and other treats will be offered as thank you gifts for contributions. "VPT Cooks: Chocolate!" is produced in cooperation with the Vermont Agency of Agriculture and the Vermont Fresh Network. Producer is Neil Hilt.

Just a reminder that Martha should be on Channel 33 starting at 2 p.m. this afternoon.

Just watched Little Martha Machia making her chocolate dessert, what a sweet little girl she is. Now I might be just a bit partial, but her personality just outshone all the other cooks on the program. Martha has lived neighbor to us for many years and Mary Kay used to babysit her and Miranda. Martha used to as a little girl drop up to the house at Christmas time with a Christmas Package of cookies. I actually had no idea she was now a Chef.
Nice Job Martha, I'm sure your grandparents, Ralph & Ruth Ellsworth are smiling down on you. I am not sure, but will keep checking to see if Vermont Public Television has her up on their website. They have six episodes up there now, so she would be episode 7 of video on demand when they put it up, I believe.
