No school at BFA Fairfax today.

If you have to go out, please do it carefully.
(and I'd do it early).

I was surprised to hear it was canceled. I woke up, looked out the window & thought yes there is school today but, then we got the automated call. The weather does not look too bad right now but, I am happy they canceled because the weather is suppose to get pretty bad.

It's nice there is an automated phone system so parents don't have to look up the school closing. However, I don't have any kids in school and tend to use the closings as a guide of road conditions. As in, if the roads are clear enough for kids to get to school, than I should be okay going out. I was surprised when I didn't see any Franklin County schools closed on TV, but now I know to check this site before making any driving plans!

Apparently there was a problem with the computer that posts the closings. Channel 3 announced the problem around 6:15.
