Title: Only About An Inch Of Snow Here On The Fletcher Road
Post by: Henry on December 09, 2009, 08:44:27 AM
Saw the wind start blowing, so decided I would bring my trash out before it got worse.  We only have about an inch of snow and the temperature keeps creeping up from a low of around 11.3 last night when I went to Mass to 26.8 degrees, which is what it is right now.

Apparently the crows must be hiding in the fir trees as they were not out there waiting to pounce on my trash bags.  They are an annoying bird to say the least.  It is a bit blustery out there.

Was thinking last night how times change.  I travelled to work for 43 years and really never gave a thought to travelling to work.  I was very fortunate and our roads have always been well cared for.  The only times they weren't was when I worked second shift and got home around midnight.  I believe the road crews in both Essex and Fairfax stopped plowing around 10 p.m. as there was not a lot of traffic after that until most of the people went to work in the morning.

I try to plan ahead now, even though most of my trips are to the Village, so I don't have to drive when the weather is bad.  Drive carefully everyone and kids, enjoy your Snow Day.
