Title: Nasty Looking Weather Out There
Post by: Henry on December 28, 2009, 04:02:42 PM
The wind seems to have picked up here on The Fletcher Road and the snow seems to be coming from the West.  Fairfax Town truck has been by a number of times and cars seem to be going at a pretty good clip.  Mail came earlier, but have not been out to get it yet.  Going to do a 2 for 1 and get my Messenger at the same time.

Sure am glad I am not on a trek home from work tonight.  Expect there will be a few cars going off the road.

I did hear a report on my scanner that there was an elderly woman off the road here in Fairfax earlier, but do not know the results.  This is one older person that does not plan to be out on the roads tonight.

Spent from the Lake Sunapee region all the way to Fairfax in snow. The highways and state routes are mess. Passed one truck off the road on 128 in Westford. People driving too fast and too carelessly. Wish the state of VT would do better at plowing. Crossing over from NH into VT was truly frustrating as I didn't see my first plow / salter / sander until well past the Montpelier area.

Measured the snow received today from a bare blacktop driveway this morning and I have 5 inches of heavy snow as of 5 p.m.
