Title: 50 Degrees & Some Pretty Good Wind Gusts
Post by: Henry on January 25, 2010, 08:09:49 AM
According to Dave & Juli's weather station it is 50 degrees and when I looked the high wind gust was 28 mph.  I know it is really blowing up here and I suspect around St. Lukes and in North Fairfax, with an umbrella, you could easily transform into Mary Poppins.

I heard the town trucks out early this morning, but did not listen to see if there was any ice on the roads.  Haven't been out for my paper yet and don't see any water in the fields across the road, but am sure there is the possibility of flooding.

Today is January 25, 2010 and apparently there will be a January Thaw.

Just went out to get my paper and is it windy or what?  I don't even live in an area where we get much wind.  Julie's weather station says the wind is ESE and now has gust up to 32 MPH.  My snow is almost all melted off the roof.

I have a feeling the warmer air is in the higher elevations. I had a low of 5 above Saturday night. They had a low of 15. Right now they have 51, and I have 48.

I think you're right.  This morning watching WCAX weather, Saranac Lake (which is usually the lowest temperature) was the highest temperature on the map.
