Colchester Superintendent May Have New Job
Fairfax, Vermont - March 20, 2006
Channel 3 News has learned that outgoing Colchester Superintendent Armando Vilaseca is a finalist to head up another supervisory union.
Vilaseca announced last year that he was leaving Colchester, citing differences with the school board. He was one of two finalists for the Burlington School District's top spot, but lost out to interim Superintendent Jeanne Collins.
Now, Vilaseca is the only finalist in the search for a new superintendent of the Franklin West Supervisory Union.
He is scheduled to meet with teachers and staff Monday, and the board will make its final decision tomorrow.
