MARK ALLEN ROZELL
GEORGIA - Mark Allen Rozell, 61, passed away peacefully Sunday evening Jan. 31, 2010, at his home in Georgia in the presence of his loving family after a courageous battle against cancer. Mark was born Oct. 9, 1948, in Denver, Colo. the son of Leland Earl and Tennie Elizabeth Bowers Rozell. Mark grew up in Texas in and around the Houston area, graduating from San Jacinto Junior College and later attending The University of Houston. He was a veteran of the US Army where he served in Vietnam where he twice received the Purple Heart award. Mark was employed for several years in Texas as an Engineer Technician for various Chemical and Petroleum plants prior to his move to Vermont where he was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. On May 23, 2009, after many years together, Mark married Wanda Godfrey Cobb in St. Albans. Mark is survived by his wife and best friend, Wanda of Georgia and their children; Lisa Rozell Boss and her husband, Chris of Texas, Brian Rozell and his partner, Steven Nacol of Texas, Joseph Cobb and fiancé Missy Rollo of St. Albans and Stacy Cobb and her fiancé Joshua DeRepentigny of Georgia, Vt. His grand-children; Bailey, Barrett and Saylor Boss, Evann Cobb, Taylor, Emily and Jordan Rollo. His brothers; Charles "Chuck" Rozell of Texas and Clarence Coleman Callahan III and his wife Sue of Texas. His sisters; Robin Gillanders and Joan Morton both of Texas. He leaves his mother Tennie Walla of Texas and motherin-law Irene Godfrey of Georgia, his brother-in-law Dale Godfrey and wife Denise of Fairfax. Several uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, cousins and many dear friends both in Texas and Vermont as well as his many pets that he so much adored. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010, at noon in the Minor Funeral Home, Route 7 in Milton with the Reverend Charles Kuthe officiating. Burial will be held later in the spring in the Underhill Flats Cemetery.
