Title: JoAnne Captures Blue Heron Rookery In South Hero

Hi Henry,
This great blue heron rookery is located on the south side of the South Hero causeway. There are probably 40 to 50 nests in the trees. I never noticed them when the leaves were still on the trees.
Hard to imagine these large birds incubating their young in the tops of the trees.
