The Vermont Electric Cooperative (VEC) reports that as of 5:40 a.m. approximately 1400 VEC members are without power due to heavy snow on trees and lines. The hardest hit areas are Fairfax, Sheldon, Westford, Williston and Hinesburg.
Up here on the Fletcher Road at my house we had 3 quick blinks of power around 3:25 a.m.
Were there any actual power outages in the area that anyone is aware of? I know my Grandsons down in Bellows Falls are back in school this week, but not today - Its a snow day as I am sure it would be here in Fairfax if school was in session.

Power back on in Buck Hollow area at about 1030 this morning. This snow is HEAVY...with all of the rain coming, time to rake the roof.

There was a line down on Hunt Street near the tennis court across from the school. I think they shut the power off to fix it. It went off about 10:45 and came back on about 11:20.
