Title: BFA Fairfax Students Learning By Doing At The Fairfax Town Office
Post by: Henry on March 18, 2010, 12:43:54 PM
A group of 11 BFA Fairfax Students were busy doing land record research at The Fairfax Town Office.  They were students in Mr. Clark's Class and all seemed to be really enjoying themselves.  What a great way to learn how history is preserved here by our Town Clerks through the years who meticulously recorded all of the Land Records from the beginning of the town.  I am sure they can see how some of the Town Clerks could really write very well, while others, well the writing was somewhat difficult to read.  I am sure some of you will recognize the students, however I will not be identifying them here.  Donna Meunier was down yesterday to talk to the group - Donna, who recently retired after 20 years as Fairfax Town Clerk & Treasurer is a wealth of knowledge and certainly has a distinct advantage as to where to look to find many records.  I am sure these young people will have learned a lot when they get done with this project - Nice approach Mr. Clark.
