SUMMARY OF CRASH: On 03-23-10 at 1710 hours VSP - Williston dispatch was advised of a two vehicle collision with unknown injuries on I-89 North near MM 96 in Colchester. Members of the Vermont State Police, as well as representatives of Colchester Fire and Rescue, responded to the scene.

Physical evidence revealed the right side of xxxxx's vehicle, which had been positioned in the left (passing) lane, collided with the left side of xxxxx's vehicle, which had been positioned in the right (drive) lane.  Similarly, the evidence revealed the vehicles were nearly side-by-side at the time of impact.

Initial information obtained from operator and witness statements indicate the collision was a result of a road-rage incident.  Both operators were driving erratically and a verbal exchange had occurred just prior to the collision.

The exact cause of said collision - as well as who the at-fault operator was - is still under investigation.  Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact Sgt. Greg Campbell at the Williston barracks or Champlain Valley Crime Stoppers.
