Route 15 near St. Michael's College is closed following a police chase in the area that ended in a crash.
While details are few at this point, WPTZ.com has been told the chase began on Interstate 89 and the driver exited the Interstate at Exit 15, heading toward St. Michael's College.
South Burlington Police Chief Trevor Whipple said an officer tried to pull the light blue Hyundai over because it was reported stolen, but that the driver refused to stop and took off. Police said there were two people in the vehicle, which had Pennsylvania license plates.
A police car was involved in the chase, which ended in some type of crash. South Burlington police initiated the chase and were joined by Williston and Vermont state police.
A black sedan and a police cruiser could also be seen with damage at the scene of the crash, which occurred at the intersection of Route 15 and Lime Kiln Road.
