This Date in History- May 10, 1999: Vermont Governor Howard Dean visited BFA-Fairfax to sign a bill into law. The bill was sponsored by Fairfax Representitive Ed Paquin with the help of Elaine Sinclair-Fowler's 2nd grade class at the school. The bill states that the Apple Pie shall be the Vermont State Pie, and that the Apple shall be the Vermont State Fruit.

Well, it is was a great moment for the kids.
And Dean is a genius compared to the P word.

A genius, huh? I didn't realize it takes a genius to drive businesses out of a state.

Ok, Ok,,, two peas in a pod............
P word drove oil companies outta Alaska when she ran up the taxes on them.
Outta by it not being feasible for them to invest more.
Say what you will about "big oil" but they take the biggest risks.
Maybe I will start a new thread so as not to highjack Uncle Mike's too much more.......
