Milton- Andrew L. Marshall Sr, 71 of Kingsbury Crossing passed away, Thursday May 13, 2010 in Fletcher Alien Health Care in Burlington following a long illness.
Andy was born August 20, 1938 in Fairfax, the son of the late Alien and Florence Gould Marshall. He attended Fairfax Schools and went on to work at the University of VT for 25 years. He also drove truck for McDermott's on weekends for several years. He was a very hard worker who had a big heart and was very generous to others, Andy enjoyed listening to old country western music. A true farmer at heart he enjoyed collecting John Deere tractors. You could always find him sitting on his swing watching the cars go by giving his friendly wave to one and all. He will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his children; Karyn Dalrymple and her husband, Randy of Tuscon, AZ, Andrew Marshall Jr., of Casa Grande, AZ, Rebecca Cota and husband, Jeffrey of Georgia, Victoria Smith and husband, Reginald Jr. of Milton and Jennifer Tracy and husband, Robert of Milton. His grandchildren; Katie, Megan, Jeffrey, Bobby, Michael, Randy, Logan, Dylan, Adrianna, RJ and Ashley. His brothers; Malcolm Marshall and wife Rita of Milton, Harold Marshall and his companion, Lourraine Vanslette, of Swanton, Ronnie Marshall of Georgia and Richard Marshall and his wife, Carol of Georgia. Three sisters in law; Betty Marshall of South Burlington, Marilyn Marshall of Enosburg and Sally Longe of Georgia. Several nieces, nephews and friends including his special friends , Duane Rouse and Bobby LaBelle of Milton. He will also be missed by Kaish his German Shepard. He was predeceased by his brothers and sisters; Anita, Alien, Katherine, Pearl, Sylvia, Ralph, George, Billy, Walter and Margaret.
A special thanks to Dr's Richard Morrison and Donald Majercik for being there for Andy not only as his physicians but as his true friends.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday May 18, 2010 at 11 am in the United Church of Milton with the Reverend Jeffrey Cornwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Sandersons Corner Cemetery in Fairfax. Visiting Hours will held on Monday May 17, 2010 from 4 to 9 pm in the Minor Funeral Home, Route 7 in Milton.
