Title: Milton Woman Locks Toddlers In Rooms And Goes To Burlington

A Milton woman is accused of abandoning her small children so that she could go tanning and collect a $60 debt.

Police say a 27 year old Milton woman, locked her 1- and 2-year-old children in separate rooms Monday around 5 p.m., then took off for Burlington. An anonymous tipster alerted police. They estimate the children were alone for about 90 minutes before they arrived. The woman wasn't found until after 10 p.m.

She's charged with child abandonment and reckless endangerment.
