No problem for the Old Vermonter starting off a conversation with "Hot Nuff For Yea???
We tied high in Burlington yesterday by getting up to 91 degrees. We have a good shot at breaking the record today, which is 89 degrees, set back in 1978.
This will be the last hot day before we get some relief in the form of a "back door" cold front coming down from the northeast. As the front comes through late today and tonight, there could be a shower or thunderstorm.
Once the front clears the area, we'll get back to sunshine and cooler, less humid, more comfortable air for Thursday and Friday.
The holiday weekend is looking very pleasant, with partly cloudy skies and highs in the 70s. But late Sunday into Monday, the heat will make another run at us. We'll be back in the 80s for Memorial Day on Monday. Then we'll cool back down into the 70s with a chance for showers by next Tuesday.

I don't have to worry about my water pipes freezing in my cellar in weather like this.
