I woke up this morning and thought someone was burning trash. I found out it was the wildfires burning in Quebec. The winds shifted and it's blowing everything down here.

Some shots from my back yard on Snowcrest
We can USUALLY see Mt Mansfield in the distance. Not today.

Same thing down here in the center of town. Went out early to wash my wife's car and thought it was really foggy but could smell strong smoke and was expecting my fire pager to off any second until my wife came out and told me about the Canadian wild fires. Georgia Mountain is covered is barely visable from my house and looking south across Buckhollow to Mansfield is obscured as well.

The red dots are fire detectors.

We have the smoke here in Westford too. Can't see much of anything looking towards Fairfax. Hope everyone in Canada stays safe today.

Looking out over Bob Sweet's corn piece behind the house, the smoke is just hovering over the ground and the smell is really strong. Good thing you posted this Scott, as I would certainly have been looking for a fire close by. Unbelievable, can't imagine what this is like closer to the sources

It's pretty smoky down here in Boston too. I can't imagine what's it like in VT, or even closer to the fires in Quebec!
