After our nap this afternoon, Maryann and I are going to take a ride over to Jericho and visit Joe's Snack Bar. I believe they are the only ones around that have Pigs In A Blanket. Lots of places have Corn Dogs, but few have the Pigs In A Blanket.
Usually when we go to the fair, that is the first place Maryann wants to go to and get that Pig In A Blanket.
I have tried to make them at home, (I use the Pillsbury Crescent Roll Mix), but they are not received with any great amount of enthusiam from Maryann.
Back, long before I worked for IBM, the Candy Confectionery Company I worked for sold to Young Joe Rotunda. I will have to check when we get over there to see if those people running it now are descendants of Joe.

It was a disappointment - We decided to get our Cree Mee back in town here up at Nan's where we knew it would be absolutely delicious.
Maryann has decided she will have to wait for The Champlain Valley Fair to get her Pigs In A Blanket.

Oh yes, they had them, but not very tasty, a bit chewey, not like the ones at the fair.

Update: Thanks to a very thoughtful citizen of Fairfax we have now found a place to get "Pigs In The Blanket" that are delicious and enjoyable. Thanks so much Janet. I had a special treat tonight. How lucky am I to live in such a special town...Fairfax, A Small Town With A Big Heart!

Nothing could have pleased Maryann more than when Janet drove in unexpectedly and came to the door and said she had something for Maryann. Janet said she got the "Pigs In The Blanket" at On The Run at the Maplefield place at Exit 19 in St. Albans. You can be sure whenever I go to St. Albans Maryann will be making one request for me to pick somethng up for her.
I am not a shopper and usually shop from a list, so this is definitely something I would have never found. Thanks from me too Janet for your kindness - What a thoughtful thing to do - So Happy I live in Fairfax.
