The Fairfax Parks and Recreation was awarded three grants this week
Two mini grants
$500 to continue Story Walks in the Park
$500 to put up interpretive historical signs in the park
and
$39,250 to put restrooms and a pavilion in the park.

That IS great news. Katrina put a lot of time and effort into these grant applications. Our community is very fortunate to have her in this position!

That's really great! Thanks for doing your thing, Katrina: the park in Fairfax is a very special place and getting ever better with your work. I'm totally looking forward to a new story. I've read the mouse one a couple of times already. It's pretty entertaining, even though I think the mouse is far too demanding house guest.
