Hey everyone-
I have an old ceramics kiln that I'd like an electrician to look at before I fire it up. Anyone have a suggestion for someone local? The two listed in the Fairfax Business Association website are gone, apparently.
-
Words of wisdom.
If the electrician is nick named Old Shockey,,,,pass on him.
-
We've used Steve McDonald. Along with being a good electician, he's a great guy! He's in the phone book on Wilkins rd.
-
steve robbins in fletcher is a better pick,he is educated.......
-
not sure what you mean by "he is educated" BUT Steve McDonald has done work @ my home, he's the one Steve Orton called to cut power when my home was sided, he's the one that did the work for my fiance's sugaring operation also! Nothing against the one you mentioned "rod anode" but why knock someone's rep when another is asking for help? I recently had an electrician come in for double the $$ most charge and was no better than the one I suggested & referred! so, I'm just saying, you could have referred your choice without the sarcasm!
-
no sarcasm intented ,why are you getting so offened? he asked for recommendations so I gave him one ,maybe I should have said more experienced ,how much is double the money? you dont always see what is being done until the problems start to surface then you realize why some cost alittle more, yes 3 it`s me special ed ,where you the one that sent me the email?

No I did not send you an email. Re-read your comment & sometimes it seems like there is sarcasm.....sorry if taken wrong. $90. per hr was the rate rather than most @ $40-$50 hr. Easy job just to wire a room; took the 220 wire we had instead of putting in scrap pile- probably to use somewhere else.

Thanks for clearing that up Chris!
I was trying to figure out where the new alias came from. Should of Googled it.
Now rod asied would have been better! Noodle that one rod anode!!!!!
-
Woops.
I MEANT,
edisa rod... but view this in a mirror. Whatever.
-
STEVE ROBBINS!!!!!!!!!!! LOL well this isn't a trash talking forum so I will keep my opinions to myself but I would way my options before I went with him.
-
just because he is "educated" doesn't mean much to me I have worked with college grads that were a menace to society when they had a screwdeiver in their hands, let alone themselves, and one of them was an engineering grad from the Naval Academy. Its not the schooling but the personal capablities of the person.

wait didnt I just explain myself please read the upper post before posting

wow you guys are hard to please, cronsteel the important thing to remember is that they carry insurance -anyone with a drill can run wire but your haveing someone troubleshooting ......big difference
