IRVING CHARLES AUSTIN
MORRISVILLE - Irving Charles Austin, age 96, passed away peacefully at Genesis Eldercare in Morrisville on July 1, 2006. Irving was born on May 10, 1910, in Georgia, Vt., son of the late Charles and Ruby (King) Austin. Irving was raised by his mother Ruby and his stepfather, Sidney Gordon. He had been employed as a farmer and also a truck driver. Irving will be greatly missed by those who had the true pleasure to have known him.
He is survived by one daughter, Shirley (Austin) Parah; his half sister, Janice Gordon; several grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his wife, Phyllis; a son, Sidney E. Austin; one daughter, Susan Austin; a brother, William Austin; a sister, Helene Moore; and a half brother, Raymond Gordon.
A graveside service was held this morning, Monday, July 3, 2006, at 11 a.m. in St. Luke’s Cemetery with the Reverend Francis Connors officiating.
