Title: Looks Pretty Spiffy Down In The Center Of Town
Post by: Henry on August 05, 2010, 06:44:10 AM
Looks like they did the finishing touches yesterday with all the lines being painted and the black top replaced in front of Vermont Food Ventures and Foothills bakery - They sure did a nice job.

Henry, what goes on in the VT Food Ventures building now?  I remember they were making those Vermont Mystic Apple Pies (and I don't care how much they cost, they are Gooooooooooooooo-ooooood pies!) there, but I don't think they're doing that any more.

Hi Suzy,

Just sent Dave an e-mail and asked him if he is still making the Mystic Apple Pies and if so, where are they available -

I noticed that's quite a lip for the sidewalk as you turn right off School Street. You can't cut the corner like you used to. Hate to be the people living in the corner house(Hazen Wilcox's old place) this winter when the plow truck comes down Main Hill and the wing plow catches it.
WHAM!!

Got the following note back from Dave regarding his Mystic Apple Pie:

Hello Henry,

Yes, we can be found in Shaws, Whole Foods and many health food and grocery stores. Mostly the Northeast

Thank you, hope you are well

Suzy: Vt food Venture moved its operation to a new larger location in Hardwick at least their building was supposed to be done  as of this past spring, so I assume the business has moved by now. Whatever they used to make here I again assume they will continue at the new facility. Fortunately, these little businesses have this kind of program to help them with their "business venture" or we'd never have some of the great stuff we have--mystic pies being one!
