This Date in Fairfax History-August 18, 1763

HAPPY 247TH BIRTHDAY FAIRFAX!!!

What was that day like, Henry???
-
i think that was the year dick brown graduated high school.
-
Not so , Dennis....you're probably thinking of my older brother....I graduated after The French & Indian War ....By the way , John Barker taught Social Studies at my school . I think that the citizens of the town of Fairfax ( future home of the Bullets ) were really seriously competing against the Indians at that time and certainly had no home field advantage !!! Where was Ethan Allen when they needed him ???????? ( Probably still drinking in the pubs down in Albany !!!!! )
-
ethan allen was a smart man. i think if i had a choice i would rather fight civilized englishmen to a bunch of unpredictable indians any day. besides ethan and the green mountain boys were masters of sneak attack and we all know how hard it is to sneak up on an indian.

I love that I share a birthday with Fairfax!
