This Date in Fairfax History
September 7, 1904


The new Bellows Free Academy opened it's doors and the first classes were held for the 1904-05 year.

That is such an awesome looking building--it's too bad they didn't build the new school just like it, but modern times called for a "modern" building, I'm sure! Architecture used to be so grand--even in small towns like this one. It's sad that we have gotten away from such workmanship. :-(
