It is very interesting, the things that are brought to mind when you read different obituaries.  When I was reading Madeline's obituary, it brought to mind a story that I had heard many times growing up about Madeline's parents who were behind a truck going up Fairfield Hill coming out of St. Albans.  Their car was behind a truck, which for some reason started backing up and both of her parents were killed in that accident.  Tommy was a small boy when his parents were killed.

I grew up with her brother Tommy, who was adopted by John Cosgrove and his wife of Fairfield, who had no children of their own.  The Cosgrove's provided a good home for Tommy and he grew up with adopted parents that treated him as their own.
