SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
On 9/10/10 at approx. 0916 hrs a motorist traveling on Rt. 7 in Georgia called 911 to report a garage and house fire. The Georgia and St. Albans Fire Departments responded to the scene and upon arrival a large portion of the garage was engulfed in flames. The fire quickly spread to the entire garage and also to a vehicle which was parked next to the garage. The fire departments were able to extinguish the fire but the garage and all the contents within are a total loss as well as the vehicle. So fortunate that a motorist called it in or they would probably have no home to come to. Glad no one was hurt!
