Title: ESPN3.com
Post by: Mike Raburn on September 11, 2010, 01:37:49 AM
I have NO cable in the MAN ROOM.

I have a PS3 and a "few" computers with PLAYOn.

So I hit the Boise State vs Virgina Tech game on ESPN3 and it was like watching cable, via the internet.

I suggest ESPN3.COM if you have the bandwidth.
They have replays of games thru the week.

Last I knew, you can get ESPN3 if you have a certain internet provider. In the list of providers, Fairpoint is not one of them. I will check again, but I don't think we can get it.

I just checked again. Nope. Fairpoint not listed. Verizon is.
Screwed again.
Thanks, Verizon, for abandoning us.

We are better off without Verizon. They did not want our business and were never going to expand services in VT. At least we are a big fish in the Fairpoint pond if they can keep afloat.

Mike

You can not get it via your ISP because you are accessing it thru your ISP.
I have a 3rd party program that gets it.
I did pay for PlayOn which is on my home theater pc and wired to my PS3.
My local cable provider does not get ESPN3 either, but with PlayOn I get via my PS3.

www.playon.tv.

Worth it if you have the set up needed.

Looks great on my 42" tv...but hey, that's me>
