What are they?

Part 5

Small item, metal, measuring about 2 and 1/2 inches in length, shaped like a fish.

The mouth part is open, and hollow, with a small rod protruding from it's throat.

In all honesty, we weren't quite sure what it was.

Just a reminder that the Fairfax Historical Society will be meeting Sunday March 13th at 6:30pm in the Fairfax Community Library. The program will be "What Is It?" With changes in technology and engineering, certain tools and household items have become obsolete. People are encouraged to bring such items in so everyone can guess what the item was used for back in the day.
I will be taking pictures of the items and will post pictures next week, so everyone can guess "What is it?".
Public is invited to attend. For more information, call 849-6638.

Three museum pieces that will be on display Sunday evening.

Picture of the Day

The first headline about the earthquake and tsunami was an Hawaiian paper.

What A Day

Spent most of the day on the couch watching CNN and KTLA on the satillite dish. The video of the devastaion is incredible. I watched live on KTLA as murky brown water churned and arrived in Southern California.
Many dead. Many more missing. Two nuclear reactors cannot be cooled down. The radiation level around one is 1000 times what it should be.
Should be interesting to see the headlines Saturday.

What does it say when you can remember the top four worst snowstorms in Vermont? You are old.

The snow has to come off Parsons porch roof. I don't know where I am going to put it.

Taken at around 9am. Someone left their car down by the bike path. Must be they couldn't make it up the hill.

Neighbor's front door, before I shoveled.

After I shoveled.

I will try to get out this afternoon and get some more.

All the ice from Mill Brook is now on the ice on the Lamoille River.

And it's supposed to get worse.
